Blackdown Support Group

The Blackdown Support Group is an independent charity working within the Blackdown GP practice. Volunteers provide the following:

Transport to and from appointments with doctors, opticians, dentists and hospital

Transport to local social events so that clients can keep in touch with friends

Luncheon and tea clubs in different places within the area

• Short term loan of wheelchairs
• Footcare
• Advocacy, help with form filling

A specially converted vehicle for hire capable of carrying a wheelchair-bound passenger and one other, plus a driver
