Mounjaro® prescribing in Primary Care

It has been announced nationally that Mounjaro® can be prescribed by general practice from today, but this process may be done differently depending upon which Integarated Care Board (ICB) the practice is within. 

We do not yet have the details of how this will be arranged in Devon practices as there needs to be a wrap around weight management service to support the prescribing and monitoring of the drug.

Initially, due to the impact on services, the prescribing will only be to patients that fall within the priority cohorts - further details will be forthcoming.

Until we have clearer guidelines, we will not be making appointments for patients requesting to be considered for Mounjaro.  If you feel that you do meet the criteria for being considered for the drug, you can submit your interest by completing an online request form on our website.  You will then be contacted once we have received further communication from the ICB.
